Captain America: The Winter Soldier has an impressive 11 nominations for this year’s Saturn Awards.

The list was announced by Star Trek and Big Finish star Chase Masterson on March 4th. Other multiple nominees include  Interstellar (10), and Guardians of the Galaxy (9).  In the  television categories, The Walking Dead received 7 nominations with Hannibal achieving 6. Both The Librarians and Agent Carter have 3.

The Saturn Awards are given to genre films and television shows in “categories which best refllects their genres.  The Academy recognizes additional areas of genre entertainment which includes Best Action/Adventure Film, Best Thriller Film, Best Independent Film Release and Best International Film Release. In television, we have such diverse categories as Best Youth Oriented Television Series, Best Superhero Adaptation Television Series, and Best Limited Run Television Series.” Doctor Who is one of the nominees for the first of these, with Jenna Coleman also up for Best Supporting Actress.
