Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed up to appear in the second season of Star Wars Rebels.

The former Buffy star will be voicing an as yet unnamed character. “We’re thrilled to have Sarah Michelle Gellar on board for season two,” producer Dave Filoni said in a statement. “She is a true Star Wars Rebels fan and her passion undoubtedly comes through in the voice recording sessions.”

The first season of Rebels has just concluded in the US, with major changes for the set-up, providing ample scope for Gellar to be a key player for Rebellion or Empire.
