miseryIt’s Bruce Willis’ turn to feel the wrath of Annie Wilkes, as the movie star makes his Broadway debut in a limited run of the Stephen King story.

Willis will star opposite Elizabeth Marvel in William Goldman’s adaptation of the claustrophobic novel. Will Frears will be directing, but as yet no theatre has been booked, or dates announced, although Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures have stated that it will be this autumn and be a “strictly limited engagement”.

Theatrical versions of King’s work are becoming more common: Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, the musical King wrote with T Bone Burnett, has just been nominated for a Saturn Award, while the musical of Carrie is set to be staged on both sides of the Atlantic this summer.
