AHS WoolfAmerican Horror Story actor Ben Woolf has died after being involved in an accident, aged 34.

According to Deadline, the actor, who was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism and stood 4-foot-4, was struck in the head by the side mirror of a passing car Thursday at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Gramercy Place. He was taken to at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition but died on February 23rd.

“We are saddened to learn the tragic news about Ben Woolf,” American Horror Story producers, FX and 20th Century Fox Television said in a joint statement. “He was a tremendous professional and an incredibly kind person, beloved by the American Horror Story family. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and fans during this difficult time.”

Described by AHS creator Ryan Murphy as “one of the most inspirational people I’ve ever met,” Woolf made a video as part of the preparation for his part as Meep in the Freak Show season, which can be seen on YouTube.
