Calista Flockhart is stepping into Tracy Scoggins’ shoes as Cat Grant in the new CBS Supergirl pilot.
Flockhart’s version of Grant is described as “a self-made media magnate and founder of CatCo who started her career as a reporter and has built her company into a global powerhouse” – and Kara, aka Supergirl’s boss.
The character first appeared in the comics in 1987 and was memorably brought to life in the first season of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman by Scoggins. Two separate versions of Grant were seen in Smallville, the first played by Sanctuary’s Emilie Ullerup and the other by Keri Lynn Pratt.
