Deadline is reporting that Steven Spielberg may return to the director’s chair for the reboot/continuation of the Indiana Jones franchise with Chris Pratt taking over as The Man in the Hat.

Spielberg was behind Pratt’s casting in the new Jurassic World film, and it certainly would help to maintain the continuity if he helms Indiana Jones V – although Deadline notes that Spielberg won’t commit until a script has been agreed, an issue that has thwarted more Indiana Jones revivals than any other element.

Assuming that Pratt does play the adventurer, he will be the sixth actor onscreen, following in the footsteps of Harrison Ford, River Phoenix, Corey Carrier, Sean Patrick Flanery and George Hall. Doug Lee, David Esch and John Armstrong provided Indy’s voice for computer games.
