The CW has picked up another genre pilot: Tom Kapinos’ and Bad Robot’s Dead People.
The series follows “a down-on-his-luck, semi-alcoholic but roguishly charming cab driver. After a near-death experience, he suddenly has the ability to interact with ghosts, including his late ex-wife who he has never gotten over.” That brief description doesn’t really indicate whether this is going to be more on the lines of Dead Like Me or Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased).
The pilot is written by Californication’s Kapinos; no director or stars have yet been announced.
