Sir Roger Moore has announced that his producer friend from The Saint and The Persuaders, Johnny Goodman, died on January 30th.
In a tweet on the morning January 31st, he stated: “My dear friend and colleague Johnny Goodman left us for the great cutting room in the sky at 11pm last night.”
Goodman was production supervisor on The Saint’s black and white episodes, and an associate producer on later colour installments, as well as associate producer on The Champions. He was the executive in charge of production for The Persuaders as well as the ITV version of Quatermass (aka The Quatermass Conclusion) in 1979 and other Euston Films productions.
