The BBC’s reworking of Atlantis is no more.

According to an exclusive report at Digital Spy, the show will not be returning for a third year, although the remaining seven episodes of series 2 will be shown in the spring. A BBC spokesperson said that the need to bring new drama through was behind the decision.

Atlantis was revamped for its second year but has clearly not gained enough traction with the audience.
