Kim Dickens has been cast as the female lead in the new Walking Dead spin-off, according to a report at Deadline.
The Gone Girl and Sons of Anarchy star will play a guidance counsellor, who is in a relationship with Cliff Curtis’ divorced teacher; she has two teenage children played by Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey. All isn’t sweetness and light even before the zombie apocalypse – secrets from her past are set to return to haunt her.
The pilot for the spin-off, currently codenamed Cobalt, is set to be filmed early next year.
