Spectre PosterAt a live event held on December 4th, details of the 24th film in the official James Bond movie series were released.

Sam Mendes and Barbara Broccoli introduced the event from the Bond stage at Pinewood. The title is SPECTRE.

Filming will be in London, Rome, Mexico City, Tangier, Morocco, and Austria over a seven month period. The production team will be the same, with the script by John Logan and Rob Wade & Neil Purvis. Lee Smith will be editor, and Hoyte van Hoytema will be cinematographer.

Bond will be driving the new Aston Martin DB10. Rory Kinnear returns as Tanner, with Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny and Ralph Fiennes as M. Adding to the “Whitehall team” as Denbigh is Sherlock’s Andrew Scott.

David Bautista will be Mr Hinx, with Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, and Leah Seydoux as Madeline Swann. Christoph Waltz will be… playing a part that wasn’t named by Mendes – but work it out from the title SPECTRE!! (The press release says he’s called Oberhauser.)

The official synopsis reads:

A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation.

While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
