Suicide SquadAfter weeks of speculation following DC’s confirmation of a Suicide Squad movie at their recent press conference, Warner Bros. has released the cast list for the August 2016 movie about the group of villains who are given a chance at redemption in a mission that will probably kill them.

Jared Leto, Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne will be playing The Joker, Deadshot, Rick Flag, Harley Quinn, Boomerang and Enchantress respectively. The movie will be directed by David Ayer and starts shooting in Toronto.

“The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one,” Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman explained. “We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under David Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

Jesse Eisenberg is expected to appear as Lex Luthor in the movie, and the role of Amanda Waller, the team’s enabler, has yet to be cast.
