Maybe it’s because Frozen has taken the spot as top animated movie from Toy Story 3 that Pixar/Disney have gone back on their original plan not to add a feature film to the Toy Story trilogy, but whatever the reason, Bob Iger has confirmed that a fourth Toy Story movie will be arriving in cinemas on June 16, 2017.

The Disney boss made the announcement during a call with analysts on November 6. John Lasseter directed the first two films and will return for the fourth, with a script by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack based on a story by Lasseter, Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich, Andrew Stanton and Pete Docter.
