There may not yet be any news on the future of In the Flesh but the second season is continuing to gain plaudits.

The nominations for the Royal Television Society North West Awards have been announced, and In the Flesh star Luke Newberry is in the running for Best Performance in a Single Drama or Drama Series (Male). He’s in very prestigious company: Derek Jacobi is nominated for Last Tango in Halifax; John Simm for Prey; and Steve Pemberton for Happy Valley.

The show is also in the running for the Award for Innovation in Multiplatform for the promotion of the second season, and Best Production (Craft).

The Awards will be given on Saturday November 15th.
