Hunters, based on Whitley Strieber’s series of novels featuring Flynn Carroll, Alien Hunter, has been ordered straight to series by Syfy.
The series will be executive produced by The Walking Dead‘s Gale Anne Hurd and follows the disappearance of a decorated Philadelphia cop’s wife, which leads him to a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists, shadowy figures that may not be of this world.
“We were so impressed by the pilot script from this outstanding and accomplished creative team led by Gale Anne Hurd and Natalie Chaidez that we bypassed the traditional process and greenlit Hunters directly to series,” Syfy President Dave Howe explained. “This fast-paced and innovative program takes viewers inside a chilling yet all-too-familiar world.
