According to a report at Deadline, Star Trek writer and producer Roberto Orci has dropped out of executive producing the reboot of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers because of his commitments to the third Trek movie.
The third of the rebooted Star Trek films is set to begin shooting within six months, according to star Zachary Quinto, with Paramount expected to release it during 2016 to mark the 50th anniversary of the franchise. Orci is confidently expected to be announced as the director.
Power Rangers will continue on course for a July 22, 2016 release date.
