The DC television universe is stretching even further, with the news that a pilot for Titans is awaiting the green light at TNT.

The series, which will centre around Batman’s former sidekick Dick Grayson, who becomes the superhero Nightwing and forms a team that includes Starfire and Raven. Penned by Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes, the pilot is one of those affected by a change of management at the cable network.

The Flash, Constantine and Gotham will all be starting this season, joining the established Arrow, with a Supergirl series expected to be announced shortly. The Titans (or the Teen Titans as they are often known) have featured in a number of animated series.
