The Creative Emmy Awards were handed out in the early evening of August 16th at the Nokia Theatre, with Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey, Game of Thrones and Sherlock all gaining four awards each.

The event was kept under strict time control (speeches could last only 30 seconds) to ensure it finished by 7.30 pm.

Sherlock won Best Single Camera Picture Editing; Best Sound Editing; Best Original Dramatic Score for a Miniseries, Movie or Special; and Best Cinematography for a Miniseries of Movie

Game of Thrones won Best Art Direction for a Contemporary or Fantasy Series; Best Costumes for a Series; Best Prosthetic Makeup (for The Children); and Best Special and Visual Effects

Cosmos won Best Sound Editing for Nonfiction Programming; Best Original Main Title Theme Music; Best Original Dramatic Score for a Series; and Best Writing for Nonfiction Programming.

American Horror Story: Coven won Best Costumes for a Miniseries, Movie or Special; and Best Hairstyling for a Miniseries/Movie
