Arlene Martel, who played Spock’s bride T’Pring in the classic Star Trek episode Amok Time, has died aged 78.

In a long career, Martel appeared in a number of genre shows, including The Outer Limits’ episode Demon with a Glass Hand, by Harlan Ellison, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, The Twilight Zone, The Six Million Dollar Man and Battlestar Galactica. She also headlined the movie Zoltan, Bride of Dracula.

One of her last roles was as a Vulcan priestess in the Star Trek fan film Of Gods and Men.
