Intruders logo 2Michael Marshall Smith’s Intruders are heading for BBC Two later this autumn.

The eight part series, written and executive produced by Glen Morgan, stars John Simm, Mira Sorvino, James Frain, Tory Kittles and Millie Brown and follows a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others.

Kim Shillinglaw, Controller of BBC Two, noted: “Drama on BBC Two continues to be a stand-out success and we have plenty more to look forward to this year, from the return of hit series Peaky Blinders and The Fall, to this striking new thriller. With a world renowned cast and an impressive creative team, this chilling and contemporary drama will keep viewers on the edge of their seats this autumn.”

Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, added: “Intruders is a truly unsettling drama – eerie, intriguing, complex and compelling.”

The series is directed by Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Stamm; it begins in the US on BBC America immediately after the first episode of Doctor Who on 23rd August. No definite date has been set for UK transmission.
