According to a report at Deadline, the companies have optioned worldwide rights to the novels – Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency and The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul – and approached Chronicle’s Max Landis to write the pilot. They hope for a direct-to-series commitment for the project.
