The new Doctor is set to make an impression on America – or at least, the producers of Entertainment Weekly certainly think so.
They’ve given the cover to Peter Capaldi for their August 6th issue, “taking the new TARDIS for a spin” and even hinting at the return of an old foe for the season. “He’s more alien than we’ve seen him for a while,” Capaldi says on set to EW, speaking about his version of the eccentric Time Lord. “He is less patient with the foibles of human beings.” The feature also includes an interview with Jenna Coleman and showrunner Steven Moffat who tackles such burning questions as “Will Capaldi’s previous appearances in the Who universe be referenced this season?” and “What will happen in the two-part finale?”
To accompany the piece, the EW website has produced a feature on the 11 previous Doctors which can be accessed here (which is a little unfair on Colin Baker!) and a timeline of Time Lord style (here)
