RouthDC’s hit TV adaptation Arrow is adding another former superhero to its roster – although this time Brandon Routh won’t be playing the Man of Steel.

The star of the 2006 sequel Superman Returns will guest star in a fourteen-episode arc on the CW’s third season, playing Ray Palmer – a character who in the comic books is also The Atom. Since playing Clark Kent/Superman for the less than well-received Superman movie, Routh has also had a recurring role on spy comedy drama Chuck.
