Stephen King’s novella Big Driver, which appeared in his collection Full Dark, No Stars, published in 2010, is being filmed for the Lifetime channel in the US, according to a story at the Hollywood Reporter.
Maria Bello will star in the TV movie, scripted by Richard Christian Matheson, as author Tess Thorne who is sent on a short cut after a signing which leads to her being attacked and left for dead. However, she survives, and is determined to get her revenge.
Olympia Dukakis, Joan Jett and Will Harris will co-star in the film, which will be shot in Halifax, Nova Scotia this summer; Mikael Salomon will direct.
