Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

At long last, details are emerging about Sense8, the world-spanning 10-episode science fiction series from the Wachowskis and J. Michael Straczynski.

According to the report at Deadline, Darryl Hannah, Lost‘s Naveen Andrews, Stargate Universe‘s Brian J. Smith and Doctor Who companion Freema Agyeman are among the fourteen member cast from across the globe. They are joined by Tuppence Middleton, Ami Ameen, Tena Desae, Doona Bae, Max Riemelt, Alfonso Herrera, Erendira Ibarra, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Silvestri and Terence Mann.

JMS told Deadline, “The series follows eight characters around the world who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, find themselves linked to each other mentally and emotionally. They can not only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place, they have access to each other’s deepest secrets. Not only must they figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, they must do so while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them.”

The production will be filmed in Chicago, San Francisco, London, Iceland, Seoul, Mumbai, Berlin, Mexico City and Nairobi, and will be available on Netflix.
