Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Men in Black star Vincent D’Onofrio has signed up to play Wilson Fisk – aka the Kingpin – on Netflix’s 13 episode adaptation of the Marvel comic Daredevil, which sees Charlie Cox as the blind superhero.
“We’re incredibly proud to have an actor with the gravitas and versatility of Vincent joining ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ in such an integral role,” Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television, explained. “Wilson Fisk is an iconic villain whose cunning and power make him the dangerous equal of our hero.”
In the series, Fisk will be a powerful businessman whose interests in the future of Hell’s Kitchen bring him into conflict with the blind attorney Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil.
