The musical chairs on Marvel projects continues this weekend. After the announcement of Edgar Wright’s departure from Ant-Man, it has been confirmed that Drew Goddard is no longer act as showrunner on the Netflix TV series of Daredevil.

Goddard was originally writer/executive producer and director on the show, but dropped out of the latter commitment when he was offered the chance to write and direct the Amazing Spider-Man spin-off The Sinister Six. He will remain as executive producer on Daredevil and penned the first two segments, but Steven S. DeKnight will step up as showrunner.

The Spartacus, Buffy and Angel veteran will officially be Executive Producer and Showrunner for all 13 episodes of the show’s initial run which will premiere in 2015.
