The Doctor Who 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor has won the Radio Times Audience Award at this year’s BAFTAs.

The special episode, which saw 13 Doctors appear at various points, beat off competition from Broadchurch, Breaking Bad, Gogglebox, Educating Yorkshire and The Great British Bake Off.

The award was accepted by the producers and director Nick Hurran.
