Justice LeagueAs has been widely anticipated, Warner Bros. has confirmed that Zack Snyder will be following up his Batman vs. Superman movie with a full Justice League film, according to reports at the Wall Street Journal, which will continue the growth of a self-consistent DC movie universe.

Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Clark Kent/Superman from the two earlier films, with Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman) and Gal Godot (Wonder Woman) returning from the sequel. WB president of worldwide production Greg Silverman told the Journal, “It will be a further expansion of this universe. Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League.”

No release date has been set for the Justice League film although it’s unlikely to open before 2018; Batman vs Superman is due to open on May 6, 2016. There are no plans at present for a solo movie for Gadot’s Wonder Woman although WB’s Sue Kroll noted that “the world is ready for her.”
