The long line of Alfred Pennyworths continues in Warner Bros.’ Batman prequel series, with Sean Pertwee the latest incarnation of the Wayne family’s faithful butler.

Pertwee’s predecessors include Michael Caine in the Christopher Nolan films, and Michael Gough in the 1980s/1990s movies. His variant is a tough as nails former Marine from East London who loyally served Thomas and Martha Wayne for many years. He is fiercely protective of young Bruce, played by David Mazouz.

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon; other photos released include Carmen Bicondova as the future Catwoman, and Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock.
