Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

More genre stars are lining up to join the cast of Supernatural spin-off Tribes, with Heroes’ Danielle Savre (right), and The Vampire Diaries’ Stephen Martines and Sean Faris all cast to appear in the set-up episode airing on April 29 on the CW.

Savre, who played Jackie Wilcox on the recently-revived Heroes, will be Margo, the acting head of the leading shapeshifter family in Chicago, an ex-punk rocker-turned-corporate professional who feels threatened only by the return of her prodigal brother David, played by Nathaniel Buzolic. Martines will supposedly be on the opposite side of the fence as Detective Freddie Costa, a world-weary Chicago cop who is actually being paid by the monsters who run the Windy City’s underworld. Faris will be Durant, described as “the savagely handsome werewolf son of a wealthy family of lycanthropes who has no love for the shapeshifting Hayden family”.
