Former Mad Men executive producers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton have teamed up with Gravity producer David Heyman for an adaptation of DC’s DMZ for the Syfy channel, according to a report at Deadline.
The comic book series by Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli ran for 72 issues between 2005 and 2012 and is set after a second American civil war between the federal government of the United States of America and the “Free States” armies in which Manhattan has become a demilitarised zone (DMZ). “Think equal parts Escape from New York, Fallujah, and New Orleans right after Katrina,” Wood suggested.
