A pilot based on DC character John Constantine has been given the green light by NBC, based on a script by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer.

The character was created by Alan Moore, Steve Bissette and Jamie Delano back in 1985, and first appeared on screen played by Keanu Reeves. None of the reports as yet indicates the approach that Cerone and Goyer are taking to the character, who is a reluctant defender of the human race against dark forces from beyond.

Constantine has also been mooted as taking part in the Justice League Dark project from Guillermo del Toro.
