Even before his first contribution, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, has hit cinemas, director Matt Reeves has signed up to helm the third in the reimagined series which began with Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
Reeves will also co-write the script, according to Deadline’s report, alongside Mark Bomback, one of the Dawn writers.
Dawn opens on July 11 this year, and Deadline notes that Reeves may well go straight into pre-production on the as yet unnamed third movie which they describe as a “priority” for 20th Century Fox.
