IntrudersMichael Marshall’s 2007 novel The Intruders is being adapted for an eight part series for BBC America.

According to the report at Deadline, The X-Files’ Glen Morgan is scripting and executive producing the series, which is “about a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others”. Production will begin in early spring 2014, with former Doctor Who executives Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner also executive producing.

Marshall told Sci-Fi Bulletin, “The BBC have worked hard and long on developing The Intruders, initially with Jessica Pope in the UK, and now Julie Gardner and Jane Tranter at BBC Worldwide in LA, and I’m delighted that it looks like it’s coming to fruition. Glen Morgan is the ideal person to be driving the show, too — it’s extremely exciting news.”
