DC’s John Constantine is coming to NBC, courtesy of The Mentalist‘s Daniel Cerone and screen superhero expert David S. Goyer, according to a report at Deadline.
Simply called Constantine, the Warner Bros. TV series will follow the ‘enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond’. The character was created in 1985 by Alan Moore, Steve Bissette and Jamie Delano, and has featured in various titles since then. Keanu Reeves portrayed him in the 2005 movie, and he is expected to feature in the forthcoming Justice League Dark movie prepared by Guillermo del Toro.
