Buffy and Merlin star Anthony Stewart Head has joined the cast of the pilot for Syfy’s Dominion, the continuation of the mythology begun in the 2010 film Legion.

Head will play David Weel, the power hungry president of the Senate of Vega (formerly Las Vegas) who is frequently at odds with General Rysen, the city’s military leader. David is willing to do whatever he believes is right to protect the city and his position leading it.

Roxanne McKee and Luke Allen-Gale are also joining as regulars. McKee is Claire Rysen, the general’s daughter, while Allen-Gale will portray Head’s character’s son, William.

Shooting begins in late September in Cape Town, South Africa.
