According to a report at Deadline, Fringe star John Noble is set to join the cast of Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman’s update of Sleepy Hollow, which began airing this week in the States, and starts on October 9 in the UK.

He is set to play “Henry Parrish, a kind and reclusive man who possesses supernatural powers that have the potential to help Ichabod Crane”. Noble played scientist Walter Bishop on the five seasons of Fringe, which was co-created by Orci and Kurtzman.

Sleepy Hollow gave Fox 10.1 million viewers, its highest number for an autumn launch in seven years.
