Dorothy, a new contemporary retelling of The Wizard of Oz, is being developed by Elementary executive producers Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman for CBS.
Described as “a medical soap based in New York City inspired by the characters and themes from The Wizard of Oz”, the pilot for Dorothy will be written by Ghost Whisperer‘s Emily Fox.
It’s not the only Oz project in development: Syfy is currently working on Warriors of Oz, from Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov, which promises to combine the Games of Thrones vibe with L. Frank Baum’s classic story,
