key_art_warehouse_13There’s good news and bad news for fans of Syfy’s flagship show Warehouse 13: the series is coming back for a fifth season, but it’ll be a curtailed six-episode wrap-up.

According to the report at Deadline, production will begin this summer for a 2014 broadcast. “Warehouse 13 has been an incredible signature series for us,” said Syfy President of Original Content Mark Stern. “We are grateful to the loyal and passionate fan base and know that Jack Kenny, his gifted creative team, and outstanding ensemble cast will give them an amazing finale season.”

Series star Eddie McClintock responded to the news on Twitter: “Thank you all for the #WAREHOUSE13 love. Six episodes is definitely better than a “get lost.” I promise we won’t let you down.”

A similar six-episode renewal has been given to spy series Nikita.

    • Ditto. It’s a show that never has to end. People die, and they move on. If an actor wants to go, let them go and replace them, but continue the work!
