At long last, a major Hollywood studio has turned their attention to the original Dungeons & Dragons game. According to a report at Deadline, Warner Bros. has decided to rework the script for Chainmail, by Wrath Of The Titans and Red Riding Hood‘s David Leslie Johnson into a full-blown version of the game.
Warners want to reboot the franchise for a new generation of audiences, used to Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, and capitalise on the success of Game of Thrones on TV. A previous D&D movie starring Jeremy Irons was released in 2000, but was perhaps just a little early.
