Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy, Horror and Spy-fi!

MTV are working on a TV version of the highly successful Scream franchise with some of the team behind their Teen Wolf adaptation.

The TV pilot will be created with the films’ producer, the Weinsteins’ Dimension Films and former top MTV executives Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley’s DiGa Vision, the people who reworked the Teen Wolf franchise from a comedy horror movie hit into a more serious drama.

A potential series is being eyed for summer 2014, although MTV has yet to agree a specific approach for the project with any of the writers brought in for discussions. Original Scream director Wes Craven has been approached to helm the pilot.
