Two of this season’s genre shows have already hit the floor, with the announcement by ABC that they are not ordering any more episodes of The Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue.

Officially the shows are not cancelled, but the chances of their return next season are slight, with the networks displaying such a lack of confidence in them. The 13-episode order will be completed, and the shows will continue to air.

Although The Last Resort had a promising pilot, directed by Bond helmer Martin Campbell, it lost viewers quickly; 666 Park Avenue, featuring Lost‘s Terry O’Quinn, was described as “predictable, and therefore boring“.
