Meant to be ITV’s answer to Doctor Who, Roger Price’s seminal series The Tomorrow People is returning to our screens in a new version created by Arrow’s Greg Berlanti and The Vampire Diaries‘ Julie Plec.
Rights holders Freemantle Media will co-produce the series with Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Productions for the CW. The new show will chart further adventures for Homo superior, the next stage in human evolution.
The original show ran for eight seasons in the 1970s, with further adventures told on audio by Big Finish a few years ago. ITV rebooted the show for a three-season run during the 1990s.
