Hot on the heels of helping to create one of the most successful 007 pictures ever, Skyfall director Sam Mendes and script co-writer John Logan are working on a new vampire hunter show.
According to Deadline’s exclusive report, the new drama is described as “an origin story set in the 1800s London in the vein of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which also was set in 19th century Europe, including London, and featured an assortment of fictional literary characters. The Logan/Mendes project features such characters as Van Helsing and Doctor Frankenstein as they hunt for vampires.”
Logan is writing the scripts for the as yet unnamed Bond 24 and 25, which may have a linked story like Casino Royale / Quantum of Solace. This would be both men’s first TV project.
