Chris Carter—best known for The X-Files and Millennium—is pitching a new sci-fi television show called The After to US TV networks.
Carter is working with production company Georgeville TV to make the show, and they’ll be offering the programme to buyers at next week’s MIPCOM TV market. Georgeville is also involved with the planned revival of Blake’s 7 with director Martin Campbell (TV’s Last Resort) involved, and medical thriller Hunters and Sense8, both involving Babylon 5‘s J. Michael Straczynski.
‘Chris has woven his mythology magic within a very human, grounded story about the moment when we realise all of our worst fears about the world and its future,’ said Georgeville CEO Marc Rosen of The After.
Hurrah! Chris is looking debonair, isn’t he?! If The After doesn’t work out he can always play Blake Carrington in a Dynasty revival (if he wanted to play an ass of course!) or Colonel White in a live-action Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. Um, if he were an actor of course (insert smiley face emoticon here… Hah).
