Although unofficial Star Trek fansite Trekmovie.com has been proclaiming that the title for the new Star Trek movie is Star Trek Into Darkness since the weekend, there has been no official confirmation of this from Paramount, Bad Robot or the cast until today.

Simon Pegg tweeted around 9.30 on the evening of September 11: “How do you get past the curse of the “:”? You get rid of it altogether. Trek ain’t a noun, it’s a verb. STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS MAY 2013″

The new film reunites Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, John Cho and Anton Yelchin as the command crew of the Enterprise, coming up against Benedict Cumberbatch’s still unnamed villain.
