Michael Clarke Duncan, who played the gifted prisoner in the adaptation of Stephen King’s The Green Mile, has died aged 54.
Duncan was nominated for an Academy and a Golden Globe Award for his role as John Coffey in the film, which followed his role in the Michael Bay SF disaster movie Armageddon. He was also seen as the Kingpin in the Daredevil film, appeared in Sin City and could be heard voicing multiple animated characters.
Last season, he played Leo Knox in the Bones spin-off The Finder (currently running on Universal in the UK), before suffering a heart attack on July 13, from which he never fully recovered.
