According to an exclusive report at Entertainment Weekly, Doctor Who and Torchwood star John Barrowman is heading over to the CW’s updated version of DC’s Green Arrow.

Not much is being revealed about the recurring character he will play on Arrow, except that he is a “well-dressed man” who is “as mysterious as he is wealthy … he is an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.” There is speculation that he may be playing Stanley Dover, senior, a character created by Kevin Smith during his run on the Green Arrow comic book.

Arrow starts airing on October 10 in the US.
