Both fairy-tale based ongoing series will be chasing the ratings next season, following ABC’s decision to renew Once Upon a Time – Grimm was picked up some time ago.

Creator Adam Horowitz broke the news on his Twitter account: “It’s official — #OnceUponATime has been picked up for season 2. Thank you all so much for watching, we’re beyond thrilled to continue on!” before ABC made the news official, along with renewal notices for six other series.

At present, it seems as if ABC’s version of Beauty and the Beast is not moving forward, although official announcements will be made next week.
